Organic Island Music coming from Maui you first need to understand there are so many genre and styles that we have come familiar to. I can remember my dad only listening to Hawaiian music and pretty much playing Hawaiian, Lu’au music with a little Jazz and Calypso. On the Weekend we spent countless hours at the dinner table or patio with my cousins, listening to Hawaiian & Reggae music. This is one of those songs I can remember sitting and listening to on the radio. Catchy hook line Juice from the Mango, Milk from the Coconut. I hope you enjoy this version as much as I had fun making it for you.
So this is one of the most requested songs at most of my gigs so I figure do a version with Bruddah Nate Lopez * String Guitar. I hopeYou Like It and Don’t forget to stop by the You Tube and support it on line in every way. Mahalo once again for all the support
Another one for the books! Love Jammin with this guy. Everything feels so easy. Please stop by the You Tube channel and see if there is a video or two you might have missed. Big Mahaloto Musahi Flores for the cover art on this one as well.
Happy New Year all and thank you for making this your one stop for Organic Island Music. So we have been very busy here, taking a trip to Las Vegas to watch Bruno Mars was a blast wrapping up 2018. Coming home New Years eve was perfect. I am back to work on Maui this whole week, but will head out to Los Angeles on the 23rd. I will be attending my first NAMM show. National Association of music merchants is what NAMM stands for. It’s like I get to be a kid and run thru the toy store for 4 days. Any way I am looking forward to going, please wish me luck as I will be searching for endorsements.
I am also very happy to say Bryan Funai’s New Year Party was fantastic. Mitch Kepa, Benny Uyetake, Brian Haia, Gilbert Emata, Nate Lopez all joined in on the Jam session.
Any way here’s what I know you love… Organic Island Music with Bruddah Nate Lopez 8 String Guitar player from Santa Rosa California. He plays gigs here from time to time and I always love jamming out with him. I hope you like this version of Pineapple wine.
Playing shows all over Maui Thursday's are always a blast. Starting with breakfast at the Wharf, Down the Hatch has become a staple to Organic Island Music. Defiantly a party vibe! For starters you can get breakfast and a craft of your favorite sorts beverage til 10:30a.m ( no judgement). If fresh fruit is what you like, I gotta say Break wall shave ice has one of the best açaí bowls on island. Put your order in grab a table or bar seat and enjoy the morning energy first thing in the morning Lahaina Style! As you all know how my shows go... I pound out 2 and half hours strait so the earlier you get there the better.
Lunch hit's and I'm in Ka'anapali at the newest Maui location for the Monkeypod Kitchen. It's fun exiting new venue that just keeps getting better. Casual is the attire and party is the vibe if you're ready. The sound system in this place is top of the line! Bose speakers thru out with subs and all... It sounds great here. The Man Tai is what's up, no joke with the Liliko'i foam topper. There available seating during lunch and happy hours but if you come at Dinner please make a reservation. Wrapping up at 3 o'clock Happy Hour starts and more music to follow at 4.
If you get the chance please stop by and say aloha. Stay for awhile and talk stories it's all good and thats why

AWESOME First show at Down The Hatch in Lahaina.
If you don't know, you NEED to know. This is the place to eat fish. Located at the Wharf Cinema Center. Now this is a place growing up in Lahaina was a cool hang out across the street from the Banyan Tree. Payed Parking in the rear, lot's of little shops and restaurants and this is one need to go spot. Order up at the kitchen counter, grab your number and they bring you your food in spectacular time. Bruddah Dave is the Bartender that I happen to work with Sunday night's at Duke's Beach House. Super cool bar that's been there forever three television sets in the background with sports playing, really cool spot to stop and grab a drink and go or stay and pick up a game. Today the opening day for NFL the excitement was in the air for sure.
Back of my eye Johnny from Kahana Fish & Game was working the grill this morning. Caleb running the front of house who I have had the pleasure of working with at the Westin K.O.R with, I already felt at home.
First thing i notice is the Food looks incredible. Breakfast was still being served and the Eggs Benedict looks like the first thing I would go for. Second would be this waffle slider looking dish with a stick of rosemary on the top. Just from first glimpse the food coming out of the kitchen looks like that from a world class restaurant, very smooth presentation.
Lot's of people popping in and out listening to music, walking the mall, working the shops, eating, drinking and enjoying a beautiful Maui day. Looks like you can still get a table to sit and take it all in.
When you come to Maui DO NOT pass this one up & please come down when I'm there keep me company. Needless to say impressive spot on the west side.
